FRENCH WAFFLES 
1 3/4 c. milk
Salt, to taste
1/4 c. melted butter
1 1/2 c. flour
6 eggs, lightly beaten
1 c. heavy cream

Heat 1 cup of milk in a saucepan; add salt and butter. Bring to a simmer; remove from heat. Add flour immediately, beating constantly with a wire whisk.

Return the mixture to the heat, stirring constantly until mixture comes away from the sides of the pan. Pour mixture into a bowl and start beating at low speed.

Add two eggs at a time beating well after each addition. Beat in the remaining milk and cream. This will produce a thin lumpy batter.

Add mixture to electric waffle iron. Follow manufacturer's directions.
