2 lbs. frozen hash browns
1 c. cream of chicken soup
1 pt. sour cream
1/3 c. chopped onion
1 1/3 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Salt to taste

Mix well. Melt 1/4 cup butter in large casserole. Pour in mixture and sprinkle top with chopped potato chips or crushed cornflakes. Bake 45-60 minutes at 350 degrees.
