BUTTERSCOTCH YAMS 
6 med. yams (peeled & quartered)
1/2 c. Karo syrup (light or dark)
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. heavy cream or half & half
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. pecans, chopped

Arrange yams in bottom of 9 x 13 x 2 inch baking dish. Bake at 325 degrees for 15 minutes. In saucepan combine remaining ingredients. Stirring constantly. Bring to boil over medium heat. Boil 5 minutes. Pour over yams. Bake 15 minutes more until glazed.
