ITALIAN NUT CAKE 
4 eggs
1/2 lb. butter
2 tsp. vanilla
3 3/4 c. flour
1 c. nuts
1 3/4 c. sugar
1 pt. sour cream
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. dates
1/2 c. sliced cherries, red & green

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, sour cream and vanilla. Sift baking soda and flour. Add flour to creamed mixture. Then add fruit. Using angel food pan, bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
