FU MAN CHU 
2 lb. ground beef, browned
1 c. chopped celery
2 c. creamed mushroom soup
1 c. sliced water chestnuts
4 tsp. soy sauce
1 c. chopped onions, sauteed
1 c. uncooked rice
1 c. bean sprouts (with liquid)
Salt and pepper

Combine all ingredients and bake in a 9 x 13 inch pan 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Add package of frozen peas topped with Chinese noodles and bake another 30 minutes. This makes 2 casseroles.

This was the bane of my childhood - the casserole that always came home less than half eaten from the Girl Scout potluck. I thought it was a figment of my imagination, but was horrified to find the recipe here...exactly as my mom used to make it. Run away screaming!!!

I grew up eating this. It sounds so weird but it is delicious! I mix snow peas in at beginning and cover with Asian noodles. Cook 30 minutes, then take lid off and cook another 30 minutes. It's comfort food for sure. Be brave and give it a try. So good!!
