SHEPHERD PIE | |
1 long loaf French bread, not sliced, 24" long 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef 1 onion, chopped 1 green pepper, chopped 1 can cream of mushroom soup Cut top off of bread and hull out inside. Brown ground beef, onion and green pepper; drain. Add soup and pieces of bread pulled out of loaf. Simmer until bread disappears. Stir. Pack beef mixture into loaf. Put grated cheddar cheese on top of beef and put top back on loaf of bread. Bake in 350 degree oven until cheese melts. Cool slightly and slice bread. |
