These pancakes must be mixed the night before they are cooked.

2 c. "starter"
2 c. lukewarm water
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tbsp. sugar

Cover and set in warm place overnight. In morning, add:

1/4 c. Pet milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. sugar
2 tbsp. oil
1 egg, beaten

After mixing well, let stand a few minutes. Cook on hot griddle. (For waffles, add 2 extra tablespoons oil.)
