VALLEY PIKE INN'S "FAMOUS BAKED
TOMATO PUDDING"
 
2 jars home-canned tomatoes (reg. canned tomatoes can be substituted)
1 can tomato sauce
1/4 - 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
3-4 tbsp. dried basil
Stale biscuits

Break up whole canned tomatoes with juice in casserole dish and mix with tomato sauce and seasonings. Add biscuits on top, pushing down in sauce and juice. Bake at 350 degrees covered until bubbly. Uncover and continue baking until biscuits are dark brown on top.
