48 vanilla wafers 24 chocolate-covered peppermint patties (sm. bite size) 1/4 c. flaked coconut 1 drop green food coloring Water Sesame seeds In a small jar, place coconut, food coloring and a few drops of water. Shake until coconut is tinted. Have Mom turn on oven to 350 degrees. Place flat side up of vanilla wafer on cookie sheet. Top each wafer with a peppermint pattie. Place in oven for 30 to 45 seconds, just until chocolate is soft. Remove from oven. Pan won't be hot. Sprinkle each pattie with 1/2 teaspoon of coconut and top with another vanilla wafer. With paint brush, brush top of wafer with water, then sprinkle with seeds. |
