GRANDMA'S PALT 
2 c. grated potatoes (about 4)
1 c. water
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. whole wheat flour
1/2 c. All Bran (opt.)
2 1/2 c. white flour

Mix these ingredients. Cut up about 2 pork steaks into small pieces and fry with 1 medium-size chopped onion. (Pork chops or bacon may be substituted.) Fill large kettle 2/3 full of water and add 1 teaspoon salt. Bring water to a boil. Dip hands in cold water to prevent dough from sticking. (Dough will be soft to touch.) Put a spoonful of dough in palm of hand, place a small spoonful of meat mixture in the center, forming a ball. Drop the balls into the boiling water. Boil about 60 minutes.
