CHOCOLATE PIE 
2 c. milk
1 c. sugar
3 eggs
1/4 c. cocoa
1/3 c. flour
1/8 tsp. salt
Vanilla to taste
1 baked pie shell

Scald milk and remove from heat. Mix sugar, flour, cocoa, and salt. Add to milk and return to heat. Stir until mixture begins to thicken again. Remove from heat and in separate dish, beat egg yolks well. Add a little of the hot mixture to yolks and stir. Add yolk mixture to custard and cook to boiling point. Add vanilla and pour into pastry shell. Beat egg whites and gradually add 1/4 cup sugar and beat to a peak. Do not underbeat. Add dash of salt. Put meringue on pie and brown in 400 degree oven.
