WAIKIKI MEATBALLS 
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
2/3 c. cracker or bread crumbs
1/3 c. minced onions
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. milk
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1 can (13 1/2 oz.) pineapple chunks or tidbits (drained, reserve syrup)
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/3 c. vinegar
1 tsp. soy sauce
1/3 c. cubed green pepper

Mix meat, crumbs, onions, egg, salt, ginger and milk. Shape into meatballs and brown in 400 degree oven in ungreased shallow pan for 15 to 20 minutes or until brown.

Mix cornstarch and sugar. Stir in reserved syrup, vinegar, soy sauce until smooth. Pour into skillet, cook over medium heat stirring constantly until mixture thickens and boils. Boil and stir 1 minute. Add meatballs, pineapple and peppers. Heat through. Makes 6 servings.
