CHOCO-CHIP OATMEAL COOKIES 
1 1/4 c. butter, softened
3/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
3 c. quick oats, uncooked
1 (12 oz.) pkg. sweet chocolate chips
3/4 c. chopped nuts

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Beat together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Gradually add flour, baking soda and salt, mixing until thoroughly blended. Stir in oats and chocolate and nuts. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 9-11 minutes. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheets. Makes 6 dozen cookies.
