CINNAMON SWIRL QUICK BREAD 
1 1/2 c. sugar, divided
1 tbsp. cinnamon
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk, well shaken
1 egg
1/4 c. vegetable oil

Glaze:

1/4 c. powdered sugar
1 1/2 to 2 tsp. milk

Combine 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon and set aside. Combine flour, baking soda, salt and remaining sugar. Combine buttermilk, egg and oil; stir into dry ingredients just until combined. Grease the bottom only of a loaf pan. Pour half of the batter into the pan. Sprinkle with half of the cinnamon-sugar. Carefully spread with remaining batter and sprinkle with remaining cinnamon-sugar; swirl knife through batter.

Bake at 350°F for 45 to 50 minutes or until a pick comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack. Combine glaze ingredients and drizzle over bread.

Makes 1 loaf.
