MCCOY'S VERY FAMOUS SALSA | |
1 (28 oz.) can crushed Italian plum tomatoes 1 medium onion 1 or 2 cloves garlic 1 tsp. oregano 1 tsp. salt 1 (4 oz.) can green chili peppers 1 or 2 jalapeno peppers* 1 tbsp. parsley (fresh, if possible) 1 tsp. ground cumin Finely dice onion, chili peppers, jalapeno peppers and garlic. Sauté all ingredients except tomatoes. Add tomatoes and simmer 15 minutes. Cool in refrigerator uncovered. Serve with chips. *You can increase the jalapeno peppers up to 6, for those who really like it "hot". |
