GRANDMA BILLIE'S APPLE PIE 
6 to 8 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
1/4 c. granulated sugar
1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Dash of salt
1/4 c. butter
3/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. flour
2 tbsp. lemon juice
Pie crust for a 2 crust pie

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. In a 9 inch pie shell (unbaked), put in the apples that have been tossed with the granulated sugar and 1/4 cup flour. In a small bowl, mix the cinnamon, salt, brown sugar, and 1/2 cup flour; sprinkle on top of the apples. Sprinkle with the lemon juice and dot with butter. Add top crust; turn the top crust under the bottom and flute the edge. Cut slits in the top. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes.
