GRANDMA'S VEGETABLE SOUP | |
10 c. water 1 1/2-2 lb. stew beef, cut up 1 lg. soup bone 1 (10 oz.) box frozen mixed vegetables 4 med. carrots, sliced 4 stalks celery, sliced 2 med. onions, diced 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes 1/2-3/4 c. barley 2 tbsp. parsley 2 tbsp. salt 1 tsp. pepper Combine water, meat, bone, parsley, salt and pepper in large pot. Simmer for 1 1/2 hours covered. Add rest of ingredients and simmer another hour covered. Correct seasonings if desired. |
