GRANDMA'S GRUNCOLT SOUP 
2 ham hocks
1 onion
1/2 stick butter
1/2-3/4 c. dry kale or fresh kale
10-15 sliced carrots
10-15 cubed potatoes
1 can creamed corn
1/2 c. rice
Salt & pepper to taste

Boil ham hocks until you have a broth. Add diced onion and butter. Add kale and carrots. Boil 20 minutes. Add potatoes and boil 20 more minutes. Add corn and rice. You can add more rice if you want thicker soup. Salt and pepper to taste.
