SQUASH PICKLES 
10 c. sliced squash
2 c. diced onions
2 tbsp. salt
2 c. vinegar
1 c. diced bell peppers
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. pulverized mustard
1 tsp. turmeric
1 tsp. alum
1 pod chopped hot pepper
3 c. sugar

Sprinkle salt over squash and onions, let stand one hour, drain. Mix other ingredients and boil. Add drained squash and onions and let come to boil. Add 4 ounce jar diced pimento after boiling. Can and seal.
