CHERYL'S BAKED CHICKEN | |
4 chicken breasts 2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1/2 tsp. paprika 1/2 tsp. marjoram 1/2 tsp. thyme 1 tbsp. oregano 1/2 lb. butter 1/2 c. oil Juice of 3 lemons (6-8 tbsp.) Wash chicken in cold water. Combine flour, salt, pepper, paprika, marjoram, thyme and half the oregano in paper bag. Shake well. Add chicken breasts one at a time and shake well until all pieces are well coated. Melt butter and oil with remaining oregano. Add lemon juice and mix. Dip each chicken piece in mixture and place in baking dish. Pour any remaining liquid on top of chicken. Bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour. Turn once during baking. Coat with melted butter and oil if chicken gets dry. Serves 4. |
