DRINKING CUSTARD | |
3 c. milk 3 eggs 1/4 tsp. salt 3 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla or nutmeg or 1/2 tsp. rum flavoring Beat eggs until well blended. Heat milk, sugar and salt in large thick pan, stirring constantly. Remove from heat when just ready to boil. Pour hot milk over beaten eggs, slowly. Then return mixture to stove, stirring constantly. Cool slowly until white skum comes on spoon. Remove from heat and pour into pitcher. Add flavoring. |
