APPLE COFFEE CAKE 
2 c. flour
1 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tbsp. milk
3 1/2 c. chopped, peeled apples
1/2 c. butter
1 c. chopped walnuts
8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 egg, beaten
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. granulated sugar

Combine flour, brown sugar and cinnamon. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add nuts. Reserve 2 cups of this mixture. Press remaining mixture in bottom of greased 9"x13" baking pan. Beat cream cheese and milk together until smooth. Mix in egg, granulated sugar and vanilla. Pour over crust. Top with chopped apples and sprinkle with reserved crumb topping. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 30 minutes. Serve warm or cold. 12 to 15 servings.
