APPLE STRUDEL 
1 c. oil
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 c. Rome apples
1 1/2 c. nuts

Mix all in order and put in greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake 40-45 minutes at 350 degrees.

SAUCE:

1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. water
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix first three ingredients; add remaining ingredients and cook until mixture boils. Boil 2-3 minutes until mixture thickens. Pour this over the cake while still warm and let stand before serving.
