APPLE CRUMB CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter
1 egg
1 c. sugar
3 1/2 c. flour
Pinch of baking soda
2 lg. jars Musselman's apples

Cream butter and sugar. Add beaten egg and pinch of baking soda. Rub in flour gently between hands and fingers until crumbly. Use 1/2 of mixture on bottom of 9 x 13 inch pan. Add apples and sprinkle with cinnamon. Put rest of crumbs over apples. Sprinkle cinnamon on top of crumbs. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Finish baking at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or more (until crumbs are golden brown). Remove.
