HARVARD BEETS 
1 can sliced beets (drained)
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 c. water
1/4 c. vinegar
2 tbsp. butter

Mix sugar, cornstarch. Add vinegar and water; boil 5 minutes. Add beets and let stand 30 minutes. Just before serving, heat the beets and add butter.
