BLACK FORREST BARS | |
1 pkg. Devil's Food cake mix 1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling 1 tsp. almond extract 2 eggs, beaten FROSTING: 1 c. sugar 5 tbsp. butter 1/3 c. milk 6 oz. pkg. chocolate chips In large bowl mix cake mix, cherries, extract and eggs. Stir by hand until well mixed. Pour in greased and floured 15 x 10 inch jelly roll pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. In small saucepan combine sugar, butter and milk. Heat to boiling, boil 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, add chocolate chips, stir until smooth. Pour over warm cake. Cool and cut into 48 bars. |
