FRESH APPLE CAKE 
2 c. sugar
1 c. oil
4 c. finely chopped apples

Stir and let set for 1 hour.

Add:

2 beaten eggs
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
3 c. pre-sifted flour
1 c. nuts, chopped or raisins or both

Bake at 300 degrees 1 1/2 hours in Bundt pan or in 9 x 13 inch loaf pan. If using loaf pan, check cake for doneness at 45 minutes.
