WHITE SHEET CAKE 
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
3/4 c. buttermilk
2 egg whites
Dash of salt
2 3/4 c. flour
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. brown sugar
1 stick butter
1/4 c. evaporated milk
1/2 lb. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine sugar, shortening, buttermilk, egg whites and salt. Mix well. Add flour, buttermilk, soda and vanilla. Bake at 375 degrees until done, 15-18 minutes.

For frosting, boil brown sugar, butter and evaporated milk until sugar dissolves. Cool a few minutes and add powdered sugar and vanilla. Spread over warm cake.
