FAMILY FAVORITE PANCAKES 
1 c. whole wheat flour
1/2 c. wheatena or oat bran
1 c. white unbleached flour
1 c. old fashion rolled oats
3/4 c. yellow cornmeal
1 tbsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
3/4 c. butter
2 eggs
4 c. lowfat buttermilk
Optional: 1 c. pecans, blueberries, strawberries or bananas
Raw honey

Mix dry ingredients in a bowl or food processor, cut in butter. In a second bowl beat eggs, mix in buttermilk (this can be 1/2 sour milk or low fat yogurt). Combine wet and dry and start to fry on medium hot pan with butter.

Optional ingredients can be placed on each pancake before it is turned or stirred into the mix. Serve with honey. We save 1/2 of this mix for the next day.
