MARINATED COLE SLAW 
1 med. cabbage, shredded
1 bell pepper, chopped
1 red pepper, chopped
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. white vinegar
3/4 c. Crisco oil
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. turmeric
1 med. onion, chopped

Combine cabbage, red pepper, green pepper and onions; set aside.

Combine sugar, vinegar, oil, salt and turmeric and boil for 1 minute. Pour over cabbage. Keep refrigerated. Best if made at least a day before serving, or chilled.
