1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
2 c. flour
1 stick butter

Mix together and reserve 1/2 cup for topping.

SECOND MIXTURE:

1 egg
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. buttermilk

Add to 1/2 of first mixture. Pour in 9 x 13 inch pan.

THIRD MIXTURE:

1/2 of first mixture
1/2 c. chopped nut meats (optional)
6 Heath bars, cracked and crumbled

Mix and spread over cake and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
