ROLL OUT SUGAR COOKIES 
1 1/2 c. confectioners' sugar, sifted
1 c. butter
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
2 1/2 c. reg. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar

Cream sugar and butter. Mix in egg and flavorings. Stir dry ingredients together. Blend into sugar-butter mixture. Refrigerate 2-3 hours. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Using half of dough at a time, roll out and cut into desired shapes. Bake 7-8 minutes until delicately golden.
