SOURDOUGH BREAD | |
Starter: 3 tbsp. potato flakes 1 pkg. yeast 1/3 c. sugar 1 c. warm water 6 c. bread flour 1/2 c. vegetable oil 2 tbsp. sugar 1 tbsp. salt 1 1/2 c. warm water all of Starter Mix all ingredients well. Put in a bowl and cover with cloth. Let rise to double in size (about 2 to 3 hours in oven with light on). Knead a few minutes and divide into 3 loaves. Spray loaf pans with Pam and place 1 loaf in each pan. Let rise in oven (with light on) or any warm, draft free place until double in size. Bake about 23 to 25 minutes in preheated 325°F oven. Wonderful right out of the oven with a little butter on it. It will also make your house smell good for a couple of days. |
