SUGARLESS MOLASSES COOKIES 
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. light molasses
2 tbsp. warm water
1 egg, beaten
3 c. flour (or more)
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. baking powder, level
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cloves

Mix together shortening, molasses and warm water. Add beaten egg and mix well. Sift together dry ingredients. Combine with egg mixture. Let stand 10 minutes in refrigerator. Roll out 1/3 inch thick. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.
