First off, let me thank you for sharing a bit of history! I couldn't begin to guess how old this recipe is, but I was fascinated! After many hours of research, I found a
"translation" of the ingredients, and their amounts. "Spuille" is squill, "drahms" is actually "drams" and is: A unit of weight in the U.S. Customary System equal to 1/16 of an ounce or 27.34 grains (1.77 grams) "Grandma Byler's" transcribing was a little off, and "Grandpa's" writing may have been a little off too ;-) ... but here it is:

1 tablespoon paragoric
1 tablespoon squill syrup
3 oz. wild cherry syrup

Paragoric isn't available without Rx anymore, and the other ingredients, at the time were "home made". Would've loved to have been able to try this!
