CHRISTMAS LOAF | |
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese 1/2 lb. butter 1 1/2 c. sugar 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla 4 eggs 2 1/2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 c. candied red cherries 1/2 c. candied green cherries 1 c. walnuts Soften cream cheese and butter; add sugar and vanilla and eggs one at a time. Mix well. Add 2 1/4 c. flour and baking powder. Combine 1/4 c. flour with fruits and nuts and fold in. Put in greased and floured bread pans (2 small or 1 large). Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour. Check before if small tins are used. Cool for at least 5 minutes before removing from pans. |
