GARDEN VEGETABLE SOUP 
1 lb. smoked turkey or pork
1/4 lb. carrots
1/8 lb. celery
2 lg. green peppers
1 med. onion
3 ears fresh corn
6 med. fresh tomatoes
1/4 lb. okra
1/4 lb. string beans
Dash of salt and pepper

Simmer meat on a low light for 1 hour with salt and pepper to taste. Cut corn off of cob. Wash and cut carrots, celery, peppers, onion, tomatoes, okra, and string beans. Add vegetables to meat. Continue to simmer for 3 to 4 hours over a low light.
