DAD'S LEMON CHICKEN 
1 (12 oz.) can lemonade, divided
Heaping tbsp. salt
2 tbsp. sugar
Season salt
Whole chicken, cut up
1 c. rice
2 1/2 c. water
1/2 c. celery
1/2 c. onion

Rinse and clean chicken thoroughly. Cover with water and ice cubes in a bowl. Add half of undiluted lemonade and half of salt. Soak overnight. Pour off liquid.

Place chicken skin side up in baking pan in which rice, celery, and onion are mixed. Sprinkle with season salt. Cover and bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. Mix sugar and remaining undiluted lemonade. Uncover and baste chicken with sugar sauce once or twice. Bake 1 hour more or until golden brown.
