SPICED BREAD CRUMB PUDDING 
1 c milk scalded
1 c bread crumbs
1 c brown sugar
1/2 c flour
1/4 c butter
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
2 tbsp. molasses
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 c raisins

Soak bread crumbs in milk for 1/2 hour. Cream the butter and sugar together, add molasses, flour sifted with the spices and soda, then the raisins. Add this to the bread crumbs and milk.

Pour into a buttered baking dish and bake at 350 for 45 minutes. Serve hot or cold. The molasses may be omitted.

Serves 8.
