MOM'S MEAT LOAF | |
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef (90% lean) 2/3 c. undiluted evaporated milk 1 lg. egg 1 c. finely crushed cracker crumbs 1/4 c. finely chopped onion 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. dry mustard 1/4 tsp. pepper 3 bacon slices, cut in half (optional) Heat oven to 350 degrees. Combine all the ingredients, except bacon, in a large mixing bowl. Mix until smooth. Place in loaf pan. Place slices of bacon across the top of the loaf if you so choose. Bake 1 hour and let meat loaf stand for 15 minutes before slicing and serving. |
