SOUR CREAM-BANANA CAKE 
1/2 c. butte
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. all purpose flour (self rising)
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 med. (very ripe) mashed bananas

Cream butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine or add flour to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream. Add vanilla and fold in mashed bananas. Put batter into 2 greased and floured 8 or 9 inch layer pans. Bake at 350 degrees 25 to 30 minutes. When cool, frost with your favorite "chocolate" icing.
