DANISH FLAT APPLE TART 
CRUST:

3 c. flour
2 sticks butter
1 sm. egg
2 tsp. vanilla
3 tbsp. sugar
3 tbsp. water

FILLING:

10 med. apples
1 c. sugar
1 tbsp. cinnamon
1 tbsp. flour

Cut the butter into the flour with water, add water and add sugar and blend. Mix egg and vanilla into flour mixture. Press 3/4 of dough in greased 15x10 pan. Peel and cut apples as for apple pie. Mix apples with sugar, cinnamon and flour. Arrange in one layer on unbaked crust in pan. Roll out remaining dough, cut in strips and place crosswise over apples.

Bake 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Drizzle thin white icing over top while hot. Cut into squares.
