SCOTTY'S SCONES 
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tbsp. sugar
3 tbsp. butter
1 egg, beaten
7 tbsp. milk

Sift together dry ingredients in a bowl. Cut in butter until texture resembles a fine meal. Combine egg with all but 1 tablespoon milk. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients. Add milk-egg mixture and mix lightly with a fork to form a stiff dough. Add remaining milk, if necessary. Lightly grease a griddle. Heat scones over medium heat 5-6 minutes on egg side. Serve hot with butter, honey, or jam.
