LACE COOKIES 
1 c. (2 sticks) butter
2 1/2 c. quick oats
2 1/4 c. brown sugar
3 tbsp. flour
1 egg, beaten slightly
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. almond extract

Soften butter to almost melted. Mix dry ingredients. Stir into soft butter. Blend in beaten egg and flavoring. Mix well. Drop by teaspoon (size of small pecan) onto ungreased cookie sheet. 2 inches between, they spread out.

Bake at 325-350 degrees for 6-7 minutes. (Check your oven for temperature and time.) Cool slightly and remove to paper towel. Makes 9-10 dozen.
