JALAPENO CORNBREAD 
1 c. yellow cornmeal
2 eggs
1 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking soda
1 level tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 c. milk
1 c. flour
1/2 c. shortening, melted
1/4 c. chopped jalapeno peppers

Mix dry ingredients together, add shortening. Stir until thoroughly mixed. Add jalapenos. Stir. Pour into well greased 8 x 10 inch pan and bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
