CABBAGE ROLLS 
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 clove garlic, minced (optional)
2 cans stewed tomatoes
Bacon
1 lb. hamburger
1 lg. onion, chopped
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 head cabbage
2 cans tomato soup

Utensils: Large mixing bowl; large roasting pan. Blanch cabbage to soften leaves. Mix all ingredients except cabbage. Shape into rolls about the size of your fist. Roll cabbage around meat rolls. Layer 2 to 3 slices raw bacon in bottom of pan, and add a layer of cabbage rolls; top with 1 can stewed tomatoes and 1 can undiluted tomato soup; continue to layer as shown ending with soup and stewed tomatoes and bacon. Bake at 400 degrees for 1 hour, then lower oven to 350 degrees and continue to bake for at least 3-4 hours longer. NOTE: Add more soup and stewed tomatoes if needed.
