1 c. butter
2/3 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
2 1/4 c. flour

SURPRISE CENTER:

Candy coated milk chocolate pieces or peanuts
Candied cherries
Walnuts or pecans
Almonds
Dates
Gumdrops
Mint wafers

Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.

Mix butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla. Stir in salt and flour. Shape in 1 inch balls and enclose a surprise in center of each ball, making sure center is covered with dough. Bake and roll in powdered sugar.
