2 egg whites 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar 2/3 c. sugar 1/4 tsp. almond flavoring 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring 1 c. chopped pecans 1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate bits Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat egg whites until foamy. Add salt and cream of tartar and beat well. Gradually add sugar, beating after each addition. Beat until very stiff. Add almond and vanilla flavoring and fold in pecan meats and the chocolate bits. Drop by teaspoonfuls on aluminum foil on cookie sheet. Place in oven and turn off heat at once. Do not peek. Leave overnight. |
