Mix all ingredients in a large saucepan and bring to a boil. This is for 5 whole chickens or 10 halves.

Make it sweet and lemony to taste. Cook until sugar is dissolved.

Mix, baste chicken as it cooks. Takes about 1 1/2 to 3 hours.

Combine in pan. Simmer all ingredients 20 minutes. Sauce is now ready to use.

Cook onion until tender in hot vegetable oil. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer about 30 minutes. This sauce keeps very well when refrigerated.

Simmer sauce for 30 minutes. Add 2 pounds ground beef. Simmer until meat is cooked.

Combine catsup, vinegar, paprika, and garlic powder. Cover and chill several hours.

Heat oil (very hot). Add ... Add catsup, steak sauce, and Southern Comfort. Bring to a slight boil, reduce heat and simmer very slow 3 to 4 hours.

Cook until thickened to gravy ... up and add sauce. Let set overnight in ... before serving. Or keep on hand to make leftovers a special treat.
