PERFECT PICNIC SALAD 
3/4 c. sugar
1/3 c. vegetable oil
1/4 c. vinegar
1 (1 lb.) can sauerkraut
1 c. chopped onion
1 c. chopped green pepper
1 c. chopped celery

Add pimento or red pepper for color. Combine first three ingredients. Set aside. Drain sauerkraut. Mix all of the above and chill.
